To be or not to be (a photographer)

Some days ago I read a blog post where the author argued that just taking photographs does not make you a photographer, and set a number of points about who is a photographer and who is a “photographs taker”. I remember being there myself times ago, wondering what to answer when people started asking “Nice photos. So, you are a photographer?”

This discussions about what you are, what you are not, you in, you out, you cool, you not cool, me, me, me… Are much more about egos that about photography, and absolutely add more noise than signal. So I’m more than happy to have figured this out: Who cares? Is that important how you (or your fans) call you? No, it is not, go out and do something.

I am Enrique, show me your pictures.

So, less noise and more pictures. Here you have a few isolated pretty pictures that I took during my recent trip to Vigo. These are from the wall of the public library in Cambados, a nice place in Pontevedra, Spain, where you can eat tasty shellfish and drink the best Albariño white wine.
